Desktop focus mode#

Click the coffee button to the left of the theme button to hide the surrounding navigation while reading. Hover over the sidebar to reveal it, or hover anywhere in the top bar to reveal the logo, tabs, search, and language picker together. Keyboard focus also reveals these controls, and open menus and search remain usable. The coffee and theme buttons hide with the top bar and reappear when you hover it or reach its controls with the keyboard.

The coffee cup is full with steam when focus mode is off. Enabling focus mode lowers the fill to halfway and fades out the steam; reduced-motion preferences skip the animation.

Search still opens with Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on macOS), even when the top bar's navigation is hidden. Click the focus button again to show navigation normally. The reading area stays in place, and the preference lasts while the layout remains open; reloading resets it.

Focus mode is available only on desktop. Mobile navigation and search work as usual.
